CARTA

Scalable visual analytics for the big-data era of astronomy.

CARTA is designed to provide usability and scalability for the future big-data era of astronomy. IDIA helped spearhead a major redesign of the desktop distribution, and a server version is now available for high-performance access to remote data through the IDIA cloud. The CARTA project is a collaborative effort between an international collaboration involving, in alphabetical order, the Australian SKA Regional Centre (AusSRC), the Academia Sinica Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics (ASIAA), IDIA, the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO), and the University of Alberta Department of Physics.
